Commercial Grade Dedication

QualTech NP is a product and service brand of Curtiss-Wright Nuclear. With over 50,000 items dedicated, QualTech NP has the historical data, technical acuity, and required experience to dedicate commercial grade items for use in safety-related applications. These items can be purchased and dedicated on a turn-key basis, or dedication services can be conducted on customer-provided specimens.

Curtiss-Wright Nuclear analyzes, tests, and qualifies materials and components under its Quality Assurance Program, which adheres to 10CFR50/Appendix B and ASME NQA-1. Curtiss-Wright also offers analysis, testing, and qualification to the CSA N299.1-2016 quality standard through its Curtiss-Wright Nuclear Canada (CWNC) branch.

Curtiss-Wright Nuclear contributed to the development and maintenance of the CGD Project Center for the Utilities Service Alliance.

For information on Environmental and Seismic Qualification, please visit the Equipment Qualification section.

    Obsolescence Solutions

Curtiss-Wright Nuclear provides reverse engineering services for parts that are no longer available or are no longer supported by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Replacement parts are designed, built, inspected, tested, and certified to match the form, fit, and function of the original item.

Curtiss-Wright Nuclear will identify obsolete equipment, prioritize vulnerability, devise hardware solutions, and implement engineering packages utilizing site-specific procedures. There are currently seven categories of utility-recognized OBSOLUTIONs:

    • Cannibalization
    • Design Change
    • Repair/Rebuilding
    • Reverse Engineering
    • Surplus
    • Special Manufacturing Runs
    • Substitution

For a downloadable catalog of qualified parts, please continue to the Replacement Parts section.

    Qualified Parts

Curtiss-Wright Nuclear provides nuclear grade spare parts for equipment used in nuclear power applications. Many OEM’s have discontinued support of their safety-related install base. With over 25,000 qualified, commercial-grade equivalents, Curtiss-Wright Nuclear provides replacement parts with the same form, fit, and function as the original item. This extensive collection of qualified products virtually covers every plant need, large or small, few or many. If the desired item does not have a match, Curtiss-Wright Nuclear can reverse engineer or custom design it as part of the OBSOLUTIONs program.
