Each yarn is treated with a proprietary coating to elevate the gland load capabilities in high pressure valve applications. Because of the unique characteristics of graphite yarn, no external lubrication is required.

Style 525 is chemically inert and will withstand temperatures as high as 1000 ºF (steam to 1200 ºF). It’s low co-efficient of friction reduces shaft wear, while a low co-efficient of expansion allows for fine gland adjustment reducing leakage to a minimum. Lubrication and braid blockage is provided by high temperature graphite dispersion and PTFE locked in place by a proprietary process. An extra dense core provides dimensional stability throughout Style 5000’s working temperature and pressure range. Style 5000 works so effectively that it eliminates the need for wire insertion, which can cause stem damage. It has excellent sealing capabilities and extremely low frictional characteristics.
