Curtiss-Wright offers reverse engineering solutions for obsolete OEM gaskets.

THE PROCESS

1. After identifying an OEM gasket as obsolete, we begin the process of reverse engineering a replacement part.
2. We use state-of-the-art mobile scanning units to create a precise, electronic replica of the gasket.
3. Dimensional, material, and other survey information are uploaded into the AP Services web catalog for future reference.
4. Using the 2D scan, a technician creates a CAD Drawing that is sent electronically to our high-powered waterjet cutting machine and uploaded into its computer database.
5. The waterjet cutting machine produces a dimensionally identical replacement for the obsolete OEM gasket.
